Every gap suggestion in Aadornly exists for a specific reason - a piece that would unlock several new outfits from the closet you already have. Trend picks, sponsored placements, and generic seasonal edits do not appear here.
How gaps are calculated
For every candidate addition, Aadornly simulates what the closet would look like with it added, ranks the new combinations against your preference model, and only surfaces the piece when the delta - "new outfits I would actually wear" - clears a threshold.
- The candidate is described generically (mid-wash straight jeans, cream knit cardigan)
- The unlock count is real, tied to specific existing items
- The suggestion includes fit and colour notes, not a link to a specific product
Fewer, better suggestions
Aadornly is deliberately restrained. Most weeks there are one or two active gap suggestions, not ten. When there is nothing worth adding, the app says so.
No sponsored placements
Suggestions are not paid for by brands, and Aadornly does not receive affiliate revenue on gap picks. The recommendation exists only because it opens up your closet.
Every gap tells you the exact number of new outfits it unlocks, and lists the items those outfits use.
Aadornly also flags redundancy - if a new addition would sit on top of three near-duplicates, it holds back.
Set a monthly cap on suggestions and Aadornly ranks by unlock-per-rupee, keeping the closet growing without the bill snowballing.
The same math surfaces items worth retiring - pieces the closet has clearly outgrown - alongside pieces worth adding.
